The Fair of Aillon le Jeune
The star of th day !

The day before, 400kg of vegetables are peeled and cauldrons are set up by volunteers. The Fair begins at 6.00am when the craftsmen set up and the market opens: food products, hand made articles (jewellery, baskets etc.).
Throughout the day, a series of shows liven up the programme, ensuring that old and young alike spend an enjoyable day in our village: pig weighing, children’s games, cattle market etc.
And finally, the moment everyone’s waiting for: the traditional pot au feu (boiled beef with vegetables), served at midday by our team of volunteer cooks.
You can also enjoy it at home – we offer takeaways as well!
A huge thank-you to the hundred of so volunteers who have been devoting their time and enthusiasm for a number of years, and to all the retailers, partners and contributors, communal services, mountain lift etc., whose help is so invaluable!
During your visit, make our "partner retailers" your first port of call.
