Aillons Club Sports


The Ski-club des Aillons has about forty registered members, in categories ranging from Microbe to Cadet. Its primary mission is to train these youngsters at competition level. Membership of the Ski Club is via an assessment at the start of the season, because a minimum technical level is required. In the main, children following the Pre-Club courses run by the French Ski School (ESF) are recruited.

Several trainers take training sessions on Wednesdays, weekends and throughout the school holidays during the winter season. Physical training starts in September with sessions on Saturday afternoons.

These courses are run under the auspices of the Beaufortain-Val d’Arly-Bauges (B.V.A.B.) district of the Savoie Ski Committee, a district with an excellent reputation for young peoples’ categories in Savoie.

The club also organises events at the request of works councils and other associations.

Participation in competitions is the top priority for the young people recruited by the club, but the club is also active in training qualified skiers intending to become mountain professionals, such as ski instructor or emergency ski patroller.
